Sinopse: Star Trek (Jornada nas Estrelas no Brasil e O Caminho das Estrelas em Portugal) iniciou na estação norte-americana NBC em 8 de Setembro de 1966. Contava a história de uma tripulação da nave estelar USS Enterprise da Federação dos Planetas Unidos e as suas aventuras onde nenhum homem jamais esteve, que, em Jornada nas Estrelas - A Nova Geração, seria alterado para audaciosamente indo onde ninguém jamais esteve, por influência de grupos feministas americanos). Numa visão utópica do século XXIII, estes personagens encontravam-se numa missão de cinco anos para explorar novos mundos e procurar novas formas de vida e civilizações.
